Jonathan Schofield has been a State Registered Podiatrist in the United Kingdom for over 20 years. He completed a Master’s of Science Degree at the University of Salford in Manchester, England entitled “The Development of Walking and the Effect of Different Footwear.” He then went on to study footwear design at Parsons School of Design in New York City and became a Certified Pedorthist, learning to handcraft orthopedic footwear.
Through his many years of research and hands-on experience, he has perfected the Fields Footwear Clear View Sole. This innovative piece of footwear allows you to see your child’s foot in their shoes, providing you with peace of mind and ensuring the health and comfort of their feet.
Laura Santos is a Board-certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has a Master’s of Science in Physiology & Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She completed her General Pediatric training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and further completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. She is currently still practicing Pediatric Critical Care in New York City.
Their combined understanding of biomechanics, normal growth and development, and preventative medicine have led to the development of an optimally-designed shoe that is lightweight, flexible, and as close to barefoot as possible. From crawling and cruising to walking, and eventually to running and jumping, they have developed the most flexible, comfortable, and properly fitted shoe for every stage of your child’s development.
More importantly, as parents themselves, they identify with how difficult it can be to find the right footwear for a child. From exhausting trips to the shops with tears and tantrums to shoes barely lasting a week, they were keen to find a better approach!
